I've Been Bad...

I know. I'm sorry. I haven't posted in another million years. My excuse? I've been coughing my head off for the past week or so. I've also been out every night for a meal or a drink (Coke, in my case) with my grandparents because they've come down from Yorkshire to stay with us for two weeks. I've also had activity week. I've also had the Hall For Cornwall show. I'm really tired. :(
I will post about Activity week in a later life but until then I'll just show the few photos I have from m
y mum's 50th birthday meal. The cake was amazing - it was designed to be a chocolate box and it had real chocolates in it! Yummy...

And guess what? I took these photos with my
lovely new digital camera! Woo! I got it on Saturday -
8mp camera with a movie recorder for £38.89! I think it's amazing to have a camera at that price with an 8mp camera! Yay!

In other news - both of the shows have been done and dusted - meaning I now have no more shows to do! The Hall for Cornwall did run a little smoother than the other one, perhaps it was because we were a little less stressed because we didn't ha
ve to do the drama scene (which was very fun by the way - getting strangled to death!). The dance was better in this show because we had loads more room, we couldn't see the audience, I smiled! and we had flashing lights and sparkly stars on the background!

Backstagee was probably the funnest part. I took loads of photos then deleted most of them because people kept moving so they went blurry. But here are the ones that I had kept:

Buddha's, Zen Gardens and Flashing Ducks.

I think I've kind of explained this already... but yeah lol. Basically it's a week at school where you choose an activity to do for the whole week. I chose Zen Garden/Buddhist Mendala/Indian Cooking Workshop, which has been shortened to Buddhaing. Luckily Colette signed up for it too, so we weren't loners!

On the first day we went to St. Mawgans Zen Garden, and it was chucking it down so we had a quick look around and ran into the gift shop. It was here in this gift shop where I found the cutest ever flashing duck. I bought it and named it Duckie. Here is Duckie - I caught him flashing blue which is good.

We then ran into a tea garden opposite the Zen Garden thing and I think the staff were a little startled to find 22 people and a few teachers running in (soaking wet) to the tiny cottage and tea garden. I ordered a toasted teacake and Colette had a coffee. It warmed us up nicely!

The second day we went to the beach which was freezing cold. We had to find things and make our own Zen Garden in the sand, so Colette and me made our Zen Garden (which was amazing) and ran under the shelter in the Beach Cafe. I got some chips because it was very chilly.

Then it started to brighten up, so we both went out onto the beach and sunbathed on the "Wall Of Life" (basically a wall). Colette started taking pictures on her phone and I got out my disposable camera to take some as well. I've got an amazing one of the beach huts, which I will try and get onto here. Anyway, this is me from one of Colette's photos. :)

Today we just cooked all day. Making a big feast e.t.c. Me and Colette were in charge of rinks so we made a lovely array of milkshakes and smoothies. We made Kiwi and Pear smoothie which did not look very appetizing. At all. The colour was a vile green that looked like sick. I'd spent years peeling kiwi's as well!

The Orange and Pineapple smoothie was definitely one of the more successful ones, but it was very lumpy. Oh well.

The final drinks were chocolate and strawberry milkshakes, which turned out amazingly well. So well, that I had 4 cups of strawberry milkshake! The chocolate one was lovely as well.

I must say that it was very odd that only one person drank the Kiwi and Pear smoothie...

The perks were definitely the fact we had an hour for lunch and we got sent home a lot earlier than we should lol.

Tomorrow we're off to Buckfast Abbey to meet some Buddha's and Monks and people. Will take a few photos of course!

Getting A New Digital Camera!

Well I think I may a well tell you this because I won't be posting many photos (and I haven't been really) for a few days, well until Sunday really. Basically it's because I am officially buying a new digital camera on Sunday! Which is a late birthday pressie with my birthday money lol. I really want one now because my webcam is just terrible and I hate it.

Will buy on Sunday - I know which one I'm getting!

Is it because I'm Hyper?

OMG! It's my birthday in like, 1 day pratically! Sunday! The 5th! Of July! And for a little (ha!) birthday celebration I am officially going to Plymouth tomorrow with a good chum - Colette! Primark is calling...

Now the big question is. Should I get a new phone or not? I think I need one. To take outfit pictures, because my webcam is the worst. Maybe... I will definitely post tomorrow telling the result. But until then... Que Sera, Que Sera...

Maybe it's because I'm hyper that I'm dancing around the kitchen (in between typing of course, otherwise this paragraph would be a complete shambles) and squealing every five minutes. It may not be exciting to some people who live in cities and go about a million times a week, but it's a completely different story for moi. Who lives in a town with the smallest New Look ever. That is the only shop that I shop in. Oh I tell a lie, Dorothy Perkins is another.

Anyway, I will post all of my purchases tomorrow - believe me, there will be hundreds!

Shopping List...

"I'm going to Ply - mouth, for my birth-day," (sung to the tune of "I'm going to London, to buy Heat magazine...")... with Colette. Lol. Well yes we are going to Plymouth. And guess what's in Plymouth? A shopping centre. And what's in this certain shopping centre? Primark. H&M. Zara. New Look. Topshop. River Island. Lush. Huge shops! I sense a shopathon going on. :)

Well just to keep my thoughts tidy and neat - and so I don't crazy thinking about what I want to buy. I'm going to make a shopping list;

Busy Bee...

I'm really sorry I haven't updated my blog for a few days, but as I said it's been a busy few days! All of my exams are out of the way, and also Star Awards is as well. Star Awards is an awards ceremony ffor Newquay Tretherras. The word "Star" stands for Students at Tretherras Academic Rewards. Well it's practically prom, the way everyone dresses up and stuff. I did of course dress up, and I haven't got a photo of my full outfit *sob*, but one of my friends took some pictures. If she puts them up then I'll post them here.

Well I'll explain about how the Star Awards system works. It's only for Years 7, 8 and 9. To attend Star Awards you have to be nominated by your school teacher for a specific subject. In my case it was I.C.T, but for others they got around 2 or 3 nominations. Only 5 people get chosen from each year for each subject. On the night, when you stand up on stage and collect your awards (a badge and a certificate), an overall winner from each subject is chosen. I won I.C.T. overall last year, and I got another cerificate and a glass paperweight (yes...).

I think that is basically the whole thing explained nicely. :)

Will post an oufit post a.s.a.p.
